Pet Peeves/Advice
Sorry, but I've been playing this game for a while and since then, I've built up and pent up a lot of pet peeves that truly irritate me in this game, solved by simply using common sense.
I'd like to think this is a reasonable set of suggestions, which can help out your team and yourself tremendously. Feel free to add onto the list, for the most part I'm just getting all of this all my chest, which probably doesn't equal up to half of the shit that have bugged the hell out of me.
1-- If you're at 30-40 HP, please, do not heal just for the hell of it. Especially if the game is close, for the most part if you heal, if you are sacraficing a lottttt of points. I understand if everyone is in red, and the game is getting really intense. Surviving always precedent over HB points. But please try to be smart with it, you have 3 other team mates who will gladly help you out and cover it.
2 --If you're the tank, USE OBSTACLES/VEHICLES. They are by far the most efficient way of killing off the survivors by far. Don't just try to run and catch up to that survivor who's in green. News flash: You won't catch him unless he fucks up or you get help, and by that point you'd have wasted a lot of Health trying to get that one hit.
2A -- Use your secondary attack. It's there for a reason. But also be smart with it and don't rely on it. if the survivors have a clear shot at you and are close, don't throw a rock, you're just making yourself an easy attack. I've seen too many amatuers get within 16 feet of a survivor, only to try and throw a rock. They go far, think of yourself as mobile artillery. Out of reach and out of sight.
3 -- Don't rush to the saferoom by yourself! You spent god knows how long supporting one another to reach it, it'd be all for vain if you wasted it all, just so your imaginary in-game character can be "safe".
4 -- Stop lighting yourself on fire with environmental fire. It amazes me how many people don't realize this doesn't work anymore. If you're going to light yourself on fire, make sure it's from a molly or a gas can.
5 -- Please, stop going halfway ahead of the map, only to wait at your favorite spot to get a 25 damage pounce fifteen minutes later. You get the same amount of points jumping from that skyscrapper than off that light post/short building. It's distance, not height and no matter what, you're still only going to get 25 damage.
6 -- Try to save your mollys for when you get a tank. If you're in the middle of the level, and haven't gotten a tank yet, there's no reason to waste that molotov on a bunch of CI you easily could of shot in the first place.
7 -- Be smart when it comes to a pinned/smoked survivor. Melee'ing and shotting them both call for two distinct scenarios. If they're far away, don't waste 2 minutes walking to them, only for the poor schmuck to have gotten 30+ points of damage by then. And at the same time, don't stand over my body for 2-3 seconds trying to shoot that hunter off of me, when you easily could of meleed him off, THEN killed him. Moral of the story: Be smart and kill the SI in the quickest way possible.
8 -- If you join a game with a team that all know each other, please try to keep an open mind when it comes to their tactics and try to listen to what they have to say. Yes, you bought this game, you can do whatever the hell you like, but chances are these kids probably have a very distinct playing style that they are all used to, which suits them best. By not cooperating during a crisis event, you're not only hurting yourself but the entire team.
That's all for now.
