    CSS Stats Page...

I apologize if this is asked elsewhere...On the CSS Server, when I type 'statsme', the information that comes up doesn't even come close to matching the 'CSS Psychostats' page on the web site here. If I understand correctly, these must be two entirely different stat systems. Are there plans to add a page to the web site where a person can view detailed stats that jive with what is displayed in the server when you type in 'rank' or 'statsme'. There was a link to it right on the front page earlier this week but it is gone now.

Can someone give me the whole scoop on what is going on, I may just be mistaken altogether. Thanks.

    RE: CSS Stats Page...

Currently, we are testing the mani-stats system. Previously we used smmstatsme stats, which provided the damage menu's when you died or a round ended.

Before that, we were using the statsme damage menus, and simple mani kills-deaths stats.

in order to deal with increasing CPU usage, we are trying to consolidate our stats, damage menus, and admin mod into one plugin. Now that mani has finally added comprehensive stats to the admin plugin, with hitbox logging, damage reports, and awards for bombs, hostages, and wins, we have disabled the statsme stats system.

Though mani is not as configurable as statsmemin, it's about as close as it can get. As well, the "statsme" output for mani is MUCH more detailed than statsmemin........so much that it is unlikely we will be going back to the previous statsmemin stats system.

Either way, both of the systems we could be using are in beta, and will continually be updated, modified, and removed as needed. We want to keep the stats persistent and linkable as much as you do.......trust me. But, we have to keep the server running well first. Stats come second to stability.

Thanks for the reply BigDog. So in essence, if I am understanding you correctly, once the server is more stable and the kinks are worked out of the new mani stats system that is in place now, a link on the web site will be added to view your stats and the numbers will match what typing "statsme" would show you in game?

    Right? :?

something like that. Feel free to step up and lend a hand, if you know php and html.

there are several readers out there for our mani stats. We will get them up as soon as we know they are worth looking into.

www.mani-admin-plugin.com has a few user-made readers available.....but not very useful, and bug-ridden. We're working on it.

But hey, figuring out how to do set up things like this is what admins do. You trying to show the admins what's up? You trying to make us look bad?

Or are you just trying to show that you should be an admin? Lending a hand in situations like this is how admins get hired and promoted. Take the initiative, and help us out.

I wish I could help you out there BigDog, but I can't code my way out of a paper bag hahahaha. And, no, of course I am not trying to make anyone look bad, that's just not my style man.

If there is anything that I can help with let me know. I don't have much skill in html, but if you can think of anything else that you want to see if I can lend a hand at, please feel free to give me a shout!

    Thanks!

    New Idea, Kill the Hunter.

For the last 3 games of Vs I've been in almost no one shoots the hunters off people and after they melee the hunter off they fail to kill it. Do people not understand that melee doesn't kill the zombies in one hit? And do they not understand that pinned people are invulnerable to friendly fire? They clearly know the maps and know how the infected work What gives?

    Story Time!

The most memorable game I was in (that you might enjoy) we had just gotten through the door of the 2nd Mercy level. When a boomer and smoker attack, fine, all is going well. Next, a Boomer and 3 hunters attack the only guy who isn't pinned and blind melees all 3 hunters off then fails to kill any of the hunters. At this point I'm downed and can't get up. Predictably half a second latter everyone is pinned. I shoot the hunter off of him, Only team mate in my LoS. 2 hunters left and I'm telling him to shoot the hunters off people or it is just going to happen again. He ignores me and melees them off again smoker grabs him an hunters take the other 2 and none of them are in my LoS. GG.

    Console > Disconnect
    //End Rant

Any one else have any explanation for this brilliance? Or similar stories?

lol, I thought the 'kill the hunter' was an idea for a new game mode: all the survivors need to hunt and kill the hunters on a map without places that are unreachable for the survivors so the hunter can't escape. Would be fun :P

Umm, haven't had any problems like yours though... I always kill the hunter after I melee, and can't really recall any getting away from me

You do realize that you CAN be hurt from FF while pinned.
