tbh, even a tank is going to be on the receiving end of a beating if it tries to take on a good group of survivors on its own. This is where you have to co-ordinate with your teammates on the infected side.
Are they camping on a high spot?
Get your smoker to drag one down and force them to make a tricky decision.
Guy playing your smoker absolute crap?
Use the boomer to ambush them and hurry them up a bit or a hunter to distract them while you climb up. You'd be surprised how many players are reluctant to even turn away from a tank to save a teammate when the pressure's on.

You forgot the bit where we bitch about it for six months and still go out and buy said developer/publisher's next cash cow. (We all do it with EA games... every time we say to ourselves 'this time they've gone too far! I'll never buy another EA game!', and ten minutes later we're queueing for twelve hours to buy Fifa 2076 or Spore II.)

yeah. I completely forgot about that.

But that is why i'm in school now for a game and simulation degree. Only problem is the games i want to make keep coming out. back a few months before i even heard of Dead Rising, I wanted to make a zombie game. Then it came out. Then i was like, well what about a co-op computer game where you play as part of a team to fight zombies. My supervisor at the time said that while it would be a bit fun at first, it would get boring very quickly doing nothing but shooting zombies.

I didn't listen to him and continued to have dreams of a co-op zombie game. Then left 4 dead comes along. Not exactly what i had in mind, but very very close.

No, AI tanks can climb any walls they like or a train wherever, they dont have to find ladders. And even when your the tank and you climb a ladder if you watch it in third person you see the tank does not even use the ladder to climb up just claws his way up. Would add so much more to the tank if they fixed it. But to sum it up I have definately 100% seen the tank as an AI climb wherever he pleases.

It's funny you singled out tanks as being able to do this. None of the special can climb up anywhere they want, however AI controlled can.

Now that you know that tanks can't do it, just throw rocks at them instead :P

The greatest Irony though was that my boss thought this game would be completely boring after the first five minutes.


Anycase, the games I'm wanting to do is a FPS Space adventure MMO, and a High fantasy mmorpg-rts like game. So give it a couple of months, and we may suddenly see some developer get these ideas and such.
