eh its actually not that cheap, becasue of the reload every bullet it makes it hard(and the possible splash dmg to yourself and team-mates) to deal with zombies up close(as exampled in the video although the guy/girl kinda sucked xD) and also prevents you from mowing an enemy down. I see it as a great long distance weapon to take out zombies coming through a narrow passage or taking out SI.

Grenade launcher sounds good.. but with explosive ammo I think 10 capacity max is good enough.

GL has 1 round+30 in reserve, so 31 rounds total. And only one person can pick it up at a time.

To be honest I only think this will be effective against the Tank or who knows. By the looks of it you can kill more infected with pistols than the grenade launcher.

Well realistically valve are making weapons that gives us variety and fun, they aren't aiming at creating the most efficient weapon. Albeit they don't want to give you a crappy useless weapon but they don't want a weapon that can do every task it requires.

You'd take the GL if you felt that it may come in handy for the situation as it definitely has advantages over the other weapons but it also has it's drawback.
