It's up to you - if your computer can handle it, I'd recommend it - you'll love it. If you're really struggling for cash then as some people have said, perhaps waiting for L4D2 is a better bet, but you're missing out if you've never played L4D1.

That would be very smart from Valve. I seldom play with anyone except my family clan, and when they're not available, it's pretty aggravating to play with the bots.
