That depends on what your definition of Is is.

He did not have sexual relations with that woman, or that planet.

If nothing else he did give us some great quotes, helped find the man who invented the Internet, and single-handedly was responsible for the economy by generating the technology boom.

I'd also vote for him... he certainly knows his stuff most of the time. Yes, he has advisors, but so would the president.

What exactly is his platform though? The only way I would vote for him is if he had a platform I liked. Just because he is a funny/popular guy doesnt make him responsible enough to lead a nation of 300+ million people with the most sophisticated military.

Seem to recall a movie that had a similar premise...... Anyone remeber "Man of the Year" with Robin Williams?

I think people are just so fed up with the electoral canidates and their bickering and inactivity that he may atually get a large percent of the vote.

Even though, I think Colbert is funny. His candacicy is a joke. He would never win. He is way too far on the left fringe for people who really follow politics. If we were going to have anyone that far on the fringe, then I would prefer it to be the other side.

Though I am not a bush fan, atleast he seems to get marginally pissed off when someone around the world gets cocky. The last thing we need is another nancy boy who whines abou the UN and wants to "understand" everybody that hates the US.

Colbert will go the way of every left wing independent candidate. Everyone will say they love him and they are going to vote for him.

But....................

On election day, all the potheads, ineligible voters, and college students will remember they forgot to vote when he isn't get 10% on the evening news.
