My game runs flawlessly almost all the time, but I started up a versus campaign yesterday and as soon as I loaded in, the second I touched any key on my keyboard the game exits out like I just hit alt-f4.

So it seems the process just ends abruptly as soon as I input from my keyboard, but only when I have finished loading into a map.

Please help me out so I can finally play the new map!!! Thanks in advance.
I would start by doing a verify integrity through Steam, and if that doesn't work, then try reinstalling the game. It sounds like there may be a corrupted file somewhere.

    Thanks for the quick response!

Unfortunately I've tried both options to no avail. I've updated every driver for every peripheral I use, also, so it's certainly not an outdated driver issue.

One thing that's strange about this is that when the map is finally loaded and I'm inside, I can look around with my mouse as long as I want before I actually crash. It's 100% completely triggered by my keyboard input.

    BTW here's my specs:

    9800GT

    AMD 9500 quadcore 2.2

    3 gigs of ram

    Vista 32

Try renaming your CONFIG.CFG file to CONFIG.OLD, then restart the game and see if you can remap your keyboard.

Iggy, thank you very much! I did just that, but it seems that somehow my W key was unbound and replaced with the 'quit game' key.

Now the real question is how the hell did that happen without my input?

I can assure you there's no one else that could have done that from where I'm sitting.

Sometimes files get corrupted and that could be what happened. Glad you got it sorted.

    Cheers!
