i think the baseball bat should be exclusive to preorders....not that would unlock upon someone picking it up... but yeah....maybe at the end there is an extra surprive exclusive item...

That works too. I just don't want a random pub or guy who didn't preorder, when it's 5 dollars off, and get it unlocked because I had to drop the bat for a second.

Its my bat, and I want to make sure that only I can use it. And only people who deserve to wield it.

Of course that is silly talk since there is virtually no difference between the melee weapons other than skins/preferences.

I have no clue how the baseball bat for pre-orderers will work. Will we just find it lying around somewhere, do our characters spawn with it equipped, are others unable to pick it up? I'm not sure, but I sat there scratching my head when I saw the large poster outside of my game stop saying, "PRE-ORDERERS OF L4D2 GET IN GAME BASEBALL BAT."

When you are in a game with a pre-orderer everyone in that game can pick it up and it appears in a melee weapon place like all the others, but it's only in games where a pre-orderer is present. It doesn't become permanently unlocked when you play with a pre-orderer, only when one is in your game.

I pre-ordered the game, so if I play with friends that haven't, do they getn the baseball bat while I'm playing, but not if it's just with people who didn't pre-order it?

Anyways, its pretty bad how preorderer's get the baseball bat. I bet inside the coding all the non-preorderer's can find it right there.

The guy in Mortal Kombat was 'Stryker', he was the cop that did that sliding trip move that pissed you off so bad when you played a friend who picked him.
