Locked squads
I can understand the temp. lock for getting the people you want or inviting a few clan mates but ive seen a few squad who lock their squads for their exclusive clan and don't let anyone else in even though they only have 2 guys, or just because they are "BUDDIES!".
In my opinion not letting people into a 2 man locked squad (5 guys in a locked squad is alright in my book) is being a non-teamplayer, even though they just want to be with their clan (latly Ive been seeing a lot of that, today it was the -303-, couple days ago it was the uti. If you have important buisness to talk about do it on TS, xFire, some forums, e-mail, or some other means other than the TTP server.

Re: Locked squads
Locked squads can be acceptable. If a clan has 3 or 4 guys and they want to get the job done between them, that's fine. As long as they follow commanders orders. I know sometimes when I got a good squad and then some random guy joined and screws our whole situation up I get pretty pissed.
As you say Frag, how is it not being a teamplayer. There doing their job with the right guys. Now I can understand if it's just one or two or three random clanless guys then yes definitely something needs to be done. However were talking clan members here, now so what if their talking business. We don't know that, but all I care about is whether they are following their commanders orders and getting the job done.

Re: Locked squads
I make 2 man locked squads sometimes when I'm exclusively flying a gunship that round, just me and my gunner.
It lets the commander know what we're doing and not try to assign us to take silos, and it keeps the rest of the players in effective ground units.
So nyah.

Re: Locked squads
I have also locked a squad or been invited to one from the other pilot when flying. I like to talk to the commander when flying so he can assign targets to bomb. Pilots can be more valuable to the commander who can see the whole map rather than a squad who can only see a limited area. I will also say that this normally only happens when the the squads that have room want everyone on the ground. When I don't lock it then people come in and complain that the SL is flying and they leave. If the commander does ask for me to join a squad I will and I have.
What Inja said is also the same case.
If you are on the ground then I do see no reason that would help the team by being in a 2 person squad.
