So I came across an alternate route in Dead Center 3, a while back while playing a VS game with a friend. It takes place right before the alarm event, in the hallway with the sloped door.

This is my usual route:

This route is fairly different from the other, and the event is set off by double doors instead of breaking the store windows.

Now, why the post about this? Well I've played the alternate route once in my entire time playing the game, and I've played Dead Center quite a bit. When I asked my friend about the route he said that was the only route he'd ever taken. So my question is how rare is it for you guys? And are there other routes like this in the game that you guys are aware of?

I know of the changing path in The Parish right after the bar with the jukebox,but that path change happens often. It seems weird to me that I've managed to get the Alt. Route in DeC3 only once.

Its quite rare for me also, the door alarm event is much more common.

The door is on the lowest level, and the glass is one floor up. Presumably the glass is chosen if the team isn't doing well.

I've had both, but the door more often. Interestingly, none of the escalators in that part of the mall spawn until the director chooses which route he'll send you through.
