Just in case it may need to help, I tried running it straight through the modem. I can sign on, but however, I go to play the game and it doesn't show any public games at all. Any attempt to join a game in session, or search for custom games gives me the message "failed to join" then puts me in a newly created public game.

Its not just you, that games ervers are down for quite a few people. Today is not a good day to try out stuff on L4D2, as it probably wont work till the passing is released.

According to what i have been reading from a person who claims to have talked to Chet, sometime later tonight or tomorrow, when the passing is out.

Awesome, thanks for all your help. Be glad when I can get to playing again, had to go on a road trip, hence the time between my first two posts, so haven't played in almost a week now. Must be going through withdrawls, haha.
