I think it all comes down to taste, sometimes however, the Fanboys overhype games. Mind you, RDR isn't overhyped, it's actually underhyped unlike games like the newest Final Fantasy and Modern Warfare 2...both of which are seriously overrated and...they're just..NOT special.

Back ontopic,

Red Dead Redemption. Like GTA4, with no glitches, and animals attack you. More random encounters, and an actual morality compass (Honor). Oh, and you can skin animals.

Played it for a couple of hours last night, it's pretty bad ass. I love the wild west, and have been looking for a game like this which captures it.

Screw all the Video games website rating the game and everyone who doesn't like it.

Red Dead Redemption is the best game out this year.... PERIOD. 10 outta 10.

Its freakin beautiful, the graphics are awesome and i really can't say anything bad about it. Every gun fight is a classic, all the dialogue is awesome, music is TOP notch stuff. Its the type of game that makes your jaw hit the floor and stay there.

Some players say "DUH, graphics aren't that good" Really? Name one game where you go from the highest mountain tops of the rockies to the driest places in mexico with out laoding a map for 2-3 mins. NONE!

Some players think it borrows to much of GTA. And thats a bad thing,,,how? LMAO.
Its a open world wild west adventure created by the makers of GTA. DUH. And it works JUST GREAT!

This is the real game of the year. Anything else that wins is due to politics or back door pay scams. This game is a work of freakin art.
