Hehe. This thread reminds me of the first and last time I set out to read a dictionary. At the time I was frustrated over an argument about the definition of a word.

The foreword included instructions on how to use the dictionary. In particular, it focused on how much weight to give the pronunciations and definitions. Reading that changed my life in a small but important way. It made me less anal - which I thought was a surprising outcome for having read a dictionary. I expected to perfect my analosity - but it was not in the cards. :10

Hi all!

I'm having a really annoying problem with Left 4 Dead (for PC). Every time I start a campaign, the game is really quiet. I check the volume control panel, and Left 4 Dead has been turned down almost to Mute (Just Left 4 Dead, all the other program volumes remain at 100%). I put it back up to 100%, start the campaign again and it has been turned down again!

Does anybody know how to fix this? Could it be a program interfering or something? I'm running Windows 7 (32-bit) by the way! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There are some sound setting in the CONFIG.CFG file located in the CFG folder. You can try renaming this file to CONFIG.OLD and restart the game. It will reset your keyboard and mouse settings back to default, but you can test to see if the sound acts correctly. If it does, then just rebind your controls.
