There were some other factors present why we didn't talk about it so much: In the 80's some D & D zealots committed suicide after their characters died and D & D was sometimes associated with the cult and devil worship, and we didn't like being placed in the same group as them. This is a whole other discussion and probably thread, but I think playing role-playing games, and video games, can really help an adolescent (and mature) mind grow and develop in many beneficial ways.

But the real reason why we didn't talk about role-playing games back when I was in high school is that we thought it would harm our chances with the ladies. In fact one of the nights we were playing a couple of girls stopped by my friends house, they took a look at the seven of us around a table that was cluttered with paper and pencils and dice and one of them said: "What are you guys doing? Homework?"

Yes, it's midnight and we're all up doing homework... not to mention that it was July.
I hear ya.....A group of my freinds and I were once all running a game of Middle-Earth and 5 girls came over and asked if we wanted to party....hmmmm...killing orcs and fighting Sauron or drinking it up with real live women? Was a tough choice , but in the end the girls won out, much to the dissapointment of he GM. LOL

    Anyone still playing Halo:ODST?

Hey, anyone still playing ODST? I have a few firefights I wanna finish, and all of my friends have either traded the game in for something else, or they just dont play it, which I dont blame them for. So, if youre interested, respond back.

I sold my ODST for Avatar game. Got bored of halo after playing it nonstop for two years.

Yea, I played for like a week when it came out, havent played it since, but, Its kinda just sitting there with my other games, and since I dont really wanna sell it, and it is multiplayer, I figured I'd try to find some people to play it with, I never really got a chance to play the firefight.

Yea, at the time, I was really big on Halo, I've played all the games, but, past couple months, I've been so annoyed with it, so I havent played in a while. I played a little bit on the Reach beta. I have mixed feelings on Halo now. Thats why I've been playing Left 4 Dead alot, cause its really the only other multiplayer game I have that I enjoy alot, also MW2. I have some other multiplayer games but, like, no one plays them anymore (bioshock 2, battlefield bad company 2, some other crap), I just have a hard time selling games =/
