no, silly. The parts in front of your face are just as wide as you normally would see on your current monitor.

the side areas would be an increase in your normal FOV, so instead of seeing 90deg, or whatver current 4:3 monitors see, you see 120degs. maybe 160.

That means you have true peripheral vision.....meaning you see what's coming from the sides like you would normally.

meaning you have 2 less flanks to worry about.

I knew I hadn't bought an LCD yet for a reason.

I remember fighting 2 Tanks by myself on Swamp Fever's finale on Expert Last Man on Earth. Did not have a molly so I tried to kite them around shooting at them and using hedges as cover from the rocks, but then the Tank got smart and went another way until soon I was about to be sandwiched by the 2 Tanks, one on each of my side getting closer. I thought "Well if I am going down, might as well go down swinging." fired a single shot into one of the Tanks and he dies. Luckily that was the very same Tank I focused my firepower on, so I managed to avoid the other Tank and kite him around to do the same. I see a Charger coming to help, so I jump over a hedge right before he charges into me. Tank was near me at the time so he bitchslaps the Charger and kills him. Eventually I kill the Tank and got on the boat with perhaps the most miraculous victory I have had in a very long time.

Any moments like this?

That's pretty awesome.

I remember one time, I was playing, and I had yellow life. So I was walking slow, towards the boat on finale, and the tank just bitch slapped me and I landed on the boat and won.
It was funny as hell.

Another miracle I had was playing versus mode. My team was shitty as hell, and they didn't get 30 points. Pathetic, right? But the other team got about 160, so yeah.
So I was the last one alive, on Dead Center, and I thought to myself, "I don't want to give them the pleasure of downing me, so I'll commit suicide by jumping over the ledge."
Well, I jumped and I actually landed right next to the saferoom (It was the first door on your right after you start the chapter) and it gave me about 100 points. It was funny as hell, and I loved it. The trick is, you gotta land through the glass.
Now I'm not saying go and do it everybody. I only did it once, and that was to commit suicide. But I wouldn't do it again.
But it was pretty damn good.

I had a couple miracles with the tank. All other survivors were either incapped or dead and I was left alone to fight the tank. I always have the sniper rifle or magnum pistol. One time I was fighting the tank on expert and it beat the living crap out of me to the point where I only had 3 health left before getting incapped. I got cornered on the fence (SF finale) and the tank was about to toss a rock and put me to sleep. I just ran out of bullets in the sniper rifle and switched to the pistol and shot it just as it was about to release the rock. It died and the rock didn't get thrown. I died by the next tank though....lol.

Another situation that involved tanks was on Dark Carnival. I was fighting a tank with 3 incapped teammates. I was running purely on Adrenaline health and one more hit would have incapped me. I ran to one of the incapped survivors hoping for the chance to pull him up before I got hit and the tank was right on my arse. Just as it was about to pound me to hell, a survivor on the ground shot it and killed it. It fell right at my feet. I got LUCKY there.

Another situation involved Swamp Fever on advance. I was playing with bots and two were incapped and one was next to me. I was up next to the chaingun on the balcony. Tank was approaching my rear but the gate was just blown open. Swarms of infected were coming towards the house from the gate. If I jumped I would have been swarmed and incapped, if I stayed and fought the tank I would have probably died. So I turn around, slide sideways away from the gun and started firing at the tank. The tank hit me and sent me flying towards the gate and I become incapped there. A miracle (or glitch) happened and the bot was teleported to me and helped me up. We both survived to the boat.
