You're actually right. The writers were on strike during the making of most of last season. They had ran out of ideas for awhile there. Now they're back on track. BTW for those of you who don't know only 47 episodes left

I watched seasons 1 & 2 missed out on 3, but I saw tonights episode. me and my friends at school try and have one relax and hang out night during the week and this shall be it until The Office returns!

You've got that backwards. The writer's strike is happening right NOW, and as such they are only going to be able to air 8 episodes of Lost in this run, when their original intent was to do 16 back-to-back.
