    Freezing

    Problem:
Random freezing even when all four players are standing still with no zombies around, and freezing for about 3 seconds whenever I pick up any item. When others pick up stuff it doesn't freeze. Also, when I see special infected is seems to freeze a lot too.
The game does not crash, and it runs perfectly smooth while it's not freezing. What bothers me is that it played perfectly for the first time, this started on the second day I tried playing...

    What I already tried:
    - Set the affinity to only one CPU core
    - Used the command "mat_queue_mode", which does not exist
    - Downloaded and installed the 178.24 nVidia drivers
    - Set sound quality and shader detail to medium
    - Messed around randomly with the graphics and sound settings
    - Verified the integrity of game cache - replaced a 7.2MB file, and now I get the (55) update error, which I had fixed earlier.

    System specs:

Is that a dual core or single core CPU? It normally states if it's a logical processor, but I just want to make sure.
