My respects to our Real Soldiers!

Often times, I find myself referring to our gaming situation, conditions, strategies, etc, as being War like or War conditions; when in fact, we are just playing a game that comes nowhere close to any real time conditions of WAR.

So please let me say that when I use these terms relating to WAR, I hope in NO WAY for my words to be misconstrueded to apply to any type of real world condition or situation. Hell, I'm only playing a game.

Our Soldiers are the BEST in the world, and from the beginning of my time to the end, they will, and have always had, my respect and admiration.

They ask for, and need no acceptance or respect from me, but they have it none the less.

It seems sometimes, that using these terms while gaming may dilute the actual meaning of some of these words. And it concerns me that an actual Soldier might and could take offense in my usage of these terms.

I'll try to use the word VIRTAUL in regards to war condition descriptions.

    Thank you for your time.

This latest incident is the main reason why I decided to write this post. the realism in some of these games maybe just that for some of our troops, REAL!

    Yeah, your right.

I do think its very interesting how the tactics we sometimes use, could be used by real soldiers. Like dropping from a Helo onto a flag.

Re: My respects to our Real Soldiers!

As a Soldier currently serving in the Army I understand the difference between the game and real life battle. I personally don't care about some of the terms and methods that we use in game as I know this is a game. I'm sure if you have played with me you heard me complain a bit but its usually because I see my team doing some thing stupid.

I know we have many soldiers currently serving in the military as we speak that are members here at TTP, and I also know of a few that are in training as well. I am proud that we have the ability to do many of the things that we can and some times there are people that appear to take for granted the freedoms this country provides us. They forget what it took for this country to become what it is today. They forget that there are soldiers out there dieing every day so that they can carry a poster saying all kinds of unthinkable things about the military and this country.

I don't consider my self a man of many words, hell most of my posts are quick, short, and to the point. But if you wish to get me talking and get my blood pressure up, question my loyalty to this country or threaten my family.

This is a great country and there are many other country's that have a great military as well. But this is where I live and this is where I call home.

All soldiers from all around the world are called to "fight the good fight". For every soldier out there has a family and every soldier out there has some one they love and a reason for which they choose to fight.
