But I don't have control over how the other side decides how to pick their candidate.

But the point is you should still care that the person selected is not someone who the public wanted. Correction could be or could not be someone the public wanted. My whole thing is you can not be ignorant of the other side of the isle. I think that it is bogus imo that this is the set up. I noticed the super delegates mentioned on CNN's site a while back and just figured they were people who voted at the time of the primary.

I think that everyone if you are going to be involved in politics should know both sides of the story before running to one side or another...I guess that is why I am an independent then huh

My values are conservative so I will vote with the conservative candidate. Sure it's nice to know how the other side picks their candidate. But I think that it is more important to look at the final candidate's and vote for the one that most closely reflects my values and who will be better able to run the country.

How can you even judge your "oppositional" party's candidate as having incompatable values if you dont bother to research them and how they got where they are. Do you honestly know their values?

I am definitely a lefty, and vote as such more often then not. But I also watch the RNC and what the other party's candidates are doing because it is important to know what any legislating body is doing to my country. And while they might not get elected president, they are politicians who made it this close, and chances are they will be influencing government in our future.

I dunno, I try to keep an eye on all the parties because I try to be informed.

On topic: I dislike the idea of superdelegates. Sure they were appointed by members of the party to stand as examples for the party, and probably embody the values of the party; but they are not conformed by their constituants which seems to stray yet farther from a representative government. And I am a big supporter of representative systems.

    I say no super delegates.

I am not debating your choice in candidate asian, I myself intend to vote mccain this novemeber most likely. so don't think that I am fighting you there. If you are conservative cool beans. My point in this discussion and I assume BigDog's is that it is bogus how the Democrats leave their super delegates unconfirmed until the day of the DNC. The people should be the ones to truely pick the candidate for their party not a few hundred Elite.

Well that just sounds down right rediculous to me, Of all the Injustices and Atrocities against the Bill of rights the Flag and Above all America , these past 8 years, this Election process to determine the Next presidential candidate, (Thats gonna fix this mess) is Absurd.

As Dem, I protest. This is exactly the thinking that got us here today, Bro's befo Ho's.
A public disaster comes to mind, Katrina, Fema, and GeeDub.

The only way it would work was if all of the Deals made by those Superdelagates were Completely 100% legit, and that my friend Only happens in fairy tales.

Bring it $pliffy, Lets see what you got?
