I woud recommend at least 1Gb RAM but preferably 2Gb. Your CPU should be at least 1.8Ghz but really this varies by CPU type not just speed. I would try to get at least 2Ghz if not 2.4 or 2.6. But your gameplay will especially be decided your GPU. What are your current specs? If you tell us we might be able to suggest a new GPU that might just do the trick!

1 gig of memory at bare bones minimum. 1.5 gigs of memory to be in the clear and 2.0 gigs to never have memory be a lag point.

As far as CPU I was playing BF2 with decent frame rate on medium settings with a P4 3.6 single core and a 7800GTS graphics card. It did not run near as well as my current rig but it did fine.
