Wt.....f...?
How come whenever I join a Versus round, the first thing that happens is I see a vote, then everyone agrees to kick me? The people doing this hardly ever even have mics talking.
I bet people would stop playing this game, if the vote kick was removed, since they only play it to bring up a vote kick for no reason.

I've had it happen to me occasionally as have probably 99% of the population - it's likely a game of friends and one of them got lagged out, so they are just clearing the spot for when they come back. We do it when one of our four gets lagged out.
It may also depend on your reputation. If your gamertag has built up a negative reputation with regular XBL players, you'll be recognised fairly easily and it may contribute to you being booted a lot. There are a few names on Xbox live that I know must be instakicked, because they're famous for being jerks. It's a small world out there... don't ruin your rep, else it'll come back to bite you in the ass.
Watch your manners and style of play when you first join as well. If you join a game and immediately run off ahead of the group, you'll be kicked (by competent players) quicker than you can think, as the team's gut reaction is "we have a runner here", which in versus is a disaster waiting to happen. This happened once to me when I knew 3 out of 4 SI were dead, and I ran ahead a little to crown the witch, but got booted before I could do so. To their credit, I'd never played with them before, so they probably just thought I was a runner. to my credit, they obviously didn't listen when i informed them that 3 SI were dead, and that we had about 15 seconds to deal with the witch.
The other possibility is that if you're really bad (no offense) you'll get kicked a lot. In campaign, sure, I'll carry players through it all day long - in fact, in campaign I enjoy carrying players, because it makes everyone feel good. They've achieved something they might not have been able to alone, and I've helped someone. BUT, in versus, it's a different story - if you're a hinderance to the team, you're gone. Likewise, if I feel I am being carried too much, or am a hinderance to the team (we all have bad days) then I myself may leave.[s]L4D - PC & Xbox 360[/s]

Maybe they wanted to save the spot for their friend.
btw my picture of XBL blackens everytime I read a single rant, none of this happened in my rts/fps/mmorpg age, EVER.

Most people use party chat so that's out of the question. They kick people ASAP so they don't do something stupid like jumping off buildings or friendly firing.
Game chat is different, we'll say something. If we're in a party we just throw up the kick and move on.

It makes me wish that if they were going to get a friend in, they would tell me beforehand before throwing up a vote kick. It may be pretty obvious that it would be the reason, but it doesn't make it any less annoying.
It's even worse if they place a votekick on you a few good minutes into gameplay, especially if you're not hindering the team whatsoever. I'll admit that if I'm about to get booted despite having made good progress in a VS game, I occasionally put a few rounds in them (key word being occasionally). I almost always feel bad for doing so, but sometimes I can't stand being kicked without warning or reason despite us having a comfortable lead.Parlock: I'm sorry, I'm an idiot who can't read XD.Teenracer6: I hate salt, it's too salty.Parlock: Taking in TP's sweet, sweet buttsweat didn't make me gag
