That's a huge leap in logic, and you only made it because it suits what you're looking for..

Suits what I'm looking for? And what would that be exactly? If you assume I dislike this game or that I think it's racist, you're making the wrong assumption. I started the topic because I thought it would be a fun topic. There's no ulterior motive here.

He only dies first because the player playing him always dies first. It's ridiculous to claim that he always dies first because as far as I know all the players have the same chance and skills.

The reason that he is in the game is not because they didn't want to look racist (I've played tons of games without black people in them and I've never heard anyone call the game racist) but because it's supposed to be like a stereotypical horror movie.

I never said they didn't. But we're talking about Louis here, not Zoey, Francis or Bill.

Look folks, the question is simple - are Louis's character flaws evidence of developer racism or evidence that the developers are paying homage to horror stereotypes. This is not a difficult question, it's not a case of anyone trying to disrespect the game, nor is it a name-calling contest, nor is it even a matter of much weight. I don't see why simply asking such a question should result in such conflict.

So yeah, this was kind of what I was worried about when this thread started - I'll remind everyone of my post at the start of this thread - I DO NOT want people picking fights over this accusing anyone of racism etc.

By the way, I never suggested that the devs are racist. You're ASSUMING that. Posing the question does not mean I endorse any of the answers. It was simply a way of getting a conversation going. But clearly it's going off the tracks.

I never implied anything of the sort. I was just pointing out that you are seeing something that isn't there. Francis is also "comical." He pretends to be tough, when he's not.

Merely asking the question is not 'seeing something that isn't there'. If anyone is doing that, it's you.

Target Practice, it's just not going to stop. The thread is hugely out of control. Please lock it - I'm sure it can't ever get back on track. It's a pity because I thought this community was above all this kind of nonsense.
