It's interesting to see that the majority is with the "don't know how" group. That is such a minor blockade when preventing one from performing some kind of maintenance on a vehicle. I myself do have an interest to learn how to do all types of maintenance but don't have the patience to pull out a book and try to translate the information contained in such. Sometimes, it might not be wise to learn from friends, I've noticed a trend in vehicle problems experienced by people, the trend is that generally, the problems are very much unalike one another. In many cases, two people might have the same problem but have completely different symptoms of the problem. One thing that one person may be experiencing can seem impossible to another person.

Too lazy. I am not saying I make a ton of money, but having the flexibility in my budget to pay someone else to do things I despise like work on the car in January or August, mow the lawn and clean up the dog shit...I outsource.
