Thread: Anybody with WOW account want to help me call out a liar?

This is a bit unusual of a request.

I often check the stats of my website, to see who is linking there. I recently found this post on a WOW forum.

The guy is linking to an image I shot of a real skydiver performing the real act of skydiving, and claiming it is him. Pretty funny. As a skydiver for the past 8 years, one thing you will run into pretty often is people in bars claiming to be jumpers. Usually we just go along with it and ask them a bunch of questions that any real jumper would know the answer to, and they dig themselves into an even deeper hole with their ridiculous answers that don't make any sense.

But this guy is using my photography to enable his lie.

I'd like to respond, but I can't, since I don't have a WOW account. If I could respond, I'd write:

You are a liar and a coward. That skydiving photo was taken in May 2007 by me (Matt Hoover). The person in the skydiving photo is a good friend of mine named Justin Shorb. The person in the second photo is a skinny little stranger I've never laid eyes on before. So, either you are my good friend Justin Shorb who secretly plays WOW and is posing here as a skinny guy in a blue shirt... or you're a skinny guy in a blue shirt claiming to be Justin Shorb. Either way, you're full of shit. Some "passion for life."

Anyone feel like passing on the message?

Mine's been inactive for about half a year, otherwise I'd love to do so

Chances of him seeing it and actually responding some sort of retort as to why he isnt a lowlife that steals pictures from someone are slim, but its the principle.
