Networking in Austin

Hey, I was actually wondering if anyone lived in or near Austin that know some marketing/corporate sponsors/business owners that may be able to help me.

I am working on a fairly large project in June dealing with a fairly prominent golf tournament dealing with former Heisman Award Winners and I am trying to find some contacts to see if they would be interested in sponsoring the tournament, or providing a hospitality atmosphere surrounding the golf tournament.

At first, I felt like I might be spamming here, but I have been here long enough to know that there are a lot of people from Texas here and someone may be able to help me out.

I live in austin.. Um goin to school in san marcos so im kinda outa the loop.. what kind of corporate sponsers you lookin for??

I know Dell is always tryin to be the "good" little kid on the block and help schools out with free computers and shit... As long as their is a newspaper article about it to give them credit.. shit ill check back to this thread cause im kinda confused on what your lookin for.

I didn't mean to say sponsor in that case. What I meant was I am looking for some business owners in either Houston or Austin that may want to treat some top clients to a golf tournament hosted in Austin...

That probably makes more sense than my last one. I just wanted to see if anyone had some friends/contacts they could point my direction as to someone who might want to do this...

I am not talking about a couple hundred bucks to hang out with a former Heisman winner, we are talking a few thousand dollars.
