Seriously though if you have the chance to ever borrow a medium or large format camera from the school you are studying at (most colleges and tech schools have loners) take it. It is a completely different way of photography and is really fun.

Like pushing around electrons on reactive photographic film and paper?

    Framerate lag in single player?

Hey all, long time, no post.

I've recently had this really strange issue with both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. I'll try to play in single player, and when the campaign starts, it'll be working fine, but a few minutes in, I get extremely bad graphical lag.

I'm running on Windows 7, 64-bit, and my graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M.

It's ran both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 perfectly fine before without any lag, and my other games on Steam run perfectly fine on their own. Any idea what's causing this?

Have you updated your video card drivers? Tried this: http://www.left4deadforums.com/32815...-pictures.html ?
I'm an idiot and I can't follow directions. So now I'm also banned.

I did update my card drivers, but I'll check the game's cache, and see if that'll help anything, and possibly try reinstalling it if it doesn't work. Thank you!

EDIT: I figured out that my problem was most likely due to my graphics card overheating on my laptop. Thanks again for your help.

    Aaah awesome.
Keep in mind that L4D infamously hates laptops. You're bound to have problems on them, and it is always best to play on a desktop if possible.
I'll mark this as solved then, if the problem persists just reply.
