That is so true. It's just a fad.....and for the macbook air.....impressive that you can make a laptop that small, but in all honesty, I wouldnt feel secure walking around with that thing. I would feel like it would break if I breathed on it wrong or something.

Actually Ive read some reviews on how that thing gets blazingly hot to the point where you cant even set your laptop on your lap. Guess thats what happens when you have no airflow. Smaller is not always better. Just easier to break/lose.

Im trying to distance myself from the people that wouldnt even give the Mac a chance even if it became better than the PC. "RAR! MACS SUCK! PCS FOR LIFE!" I think Macs are just a basic version of a computer. No room for tweaks/customization (unless you consider a different color... I mean 'flavor' a customization) and just does what its advertised to do (mainly artistic creation). Im surprised it had one mouse button for so long. That whole hoopla about it not getting viruses is a crock. Its just that PCs are easier to attack.

AS a loyal Windows user, I find there are few things more boring than listening to Apple evangelists harping on about the merits of their prettier Macs. In a recent ad, a smug Robert Webb, playing a Mac alongside David Mitchell's dowdy PC, made this claim: "I run Mac OS X, so you don't have to worry about viruses and spyware as PCs do."

Clive Longbottom, a director at the IT analysts Quocirca, said: "They could get viruses, it's just that nobody writes them. Only about three per cent of desktop computers are Macs. At that level, it's not financially viable for hackers to write viruses for Macs."

Macs used to be more resistant, but times have changed and users are complacent at their peril. As more PC users install anti-virus software and Microsoft ups its game, hackers might turn their attention to Macs. It's probably time for Mac users to start thinking about anti-virus software, such as McAfee.

Verdict: It's true - Mac fans beware.
