I have a PC and a Mac at home, but it wasn't always that way. We bought that Mac years ago when my wife was a teacher. We couldn't afford a PC and a Mac at that time so about the only games I was able to play were the Diablo series, a few RPG's and some niche games from spiderweb software. Plus I actually had to share our lone computer with my wife...

Fast forward six or so years and now I finally made a PC that I can play all of the games that I want to on. My wife can surf the net and play the games that she likes on the Mac and I play my games on the PC. Life is good. :9

As far as what platform is better? A Mac or a PC? I would say it depends on what you want to do with it and who it is for. My wife loves using the Mac and it has never crashed in the six or so years that we've had it. It's a G4 and I upgraded the processor a few years back so I could play some newer RPG's on it and UT. All I've ever done to it is keep the software updated and it has pretty much taken care of itself. My mom uses a Mac by my suggestion because she wanted to use a computer that was easy to use and she didn't mind paying the Mac premium.

Now what computer is right for me? A person who loves playing games and likes to be able to upgrade and build their own computer and has access to 90% of all of the software on the market? Not to mention that I can do my office work on it if need be. So for me, it's a PC all the way. If I somehow won one of those new G5's, I would sell it on Ebay and use the money to build a new PC. :9

1) The startup chime is super-ghey
2) The Mac is too shiny
3) Mac OS X is too shiny
4) Bananas taste better
5) It takes so much less skillz to use cuz it's all easy and stuff
6) The Mac guy in the ads is just too hip for my tastes
7) The Apple Cinema display is just too awesome -- if they were really a hardcore company, they'd make it only work with Macs
8) For my laptop, I really dig the little webcam I Superglued to the case
9) Also for my laptop, I love replacing the AC power socket after I walked over the power cord (again!)
10) One of my favorite games to play on my computer is "Which Windows Is It?" when I have zillions of windows open. That Expose thing is just cheating.
11) Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow squares just pwn a boring grey Apple
12) The Apple Cinema display is just too awesome -- if they were really a hardcore company, they'd make it only work with Macs.
13) There's no sense of adventure in having a profoundly fault-tolerant OS
14) I enjoy having my computer participate in zombie bot-nets
15) I'd feel unloved if I didn't have tens of thousands of malware programs dying to get on my HD.
16) Websurfing wouldn't be thrilling if I didn't have thousands of spyware programs lurking behind the next click in IE.
17) The mouse only has one button (even that stupid Mighty Mouse! Have you seen it?)
18) What's up with all this Airport stuff? I bet you need to buy an Apple$$ acce$$ point$ to even connect!
19) Command-shift-3 to take a screenshot? Where's my third-party program!
20) ZOMG! How do they get by without a Pause/Break key?

And you see why I say it makes no difference which you use? There are pros and cons to both MACs and PCs. MACs tend to be more build so anyone can use them easily without any problems. That means they don't have as much crap so the OS appears to load faster and some things appear to run better, it's just the MAC typically has more resources available to run the same things because it is simplied and looks ugly. (I'll admit Leopard doesn't look bad, but I still prefer Vista.)

Whoops -- I had a bunch and I accidentally duplicated that one when I was copying and pasting. As a previously identified Mac fan, I made this list in satire of the poorly informed Mac haters. I don't think any one of these items is a legitimate criticism of the Mac and they're meant to show that many Mac bashers don't know what they're talking about or have disorganized thinking.
