Is it real? Or is it some bullshit to justify AT&T's rumored premium priced internet package that may be coming soon?

Meanwhile, many are wondering whether this is prelude to AT&T announcing (or not announcing, but doing anyway) a traffic prioritization/shaping system like Comcast has been tinkering with... and which has earned it nothing but scorn.
I suppose its conceivable that Bandwidth could become a much broader issue...but that fact that it could be shows AT&T's short sightedness as a company imo.
Unless of course, they intentionally avoided infrastructure advances and are doing this to jack up the prices, in which case they're brilliant, conniving, cash-drinking, vampiric bastards.
Whatever happened to internet 2?

Bah. Just like the oil was going to run out in 1970... No, wait, I meant 1980... Make that 1990...
