I have to be honest here, you are only looking for trouble with a poll like this. I would either delete this or just wait for it to get locked. As much as we all love to talk politics, I would be very careful with this kind of stuff. Since you have read all the threads on politics, I am pretty sure that every single one has been locked and people get all fired up.

in the event that those in power will sometimes need the ability to listen in on private conversations in order to protect the greater good.......sure.

Private conversations, clan discussions, private messages, server logs..........sure.
