Iam really hoping that EVERYONE who reads that understands the context it was taking out of. That was a sarcastic comment to the FUCKIN HOMO'S who were not goin for the bomb....

Nice post. It reflects why I enjoy playing on TTP.

I'm an old man and my reflexes aren't fast enough to keep up with the young bucks on the front lines in BF2, PR, and ArmA. Still, the communication at TTP let's me be part of a team and play like is advertised on the box. When I play BF2 at TTP I probably only average about six points a game, but there is a lot of fun and camaraderie packed into those six points. That is worth a lot to me.

I was actually proud to get a Purple Heart in 2142 (getting a 1:4 KD ratio in a round) because even though I was constantly getting my ass shot to hell, I was accomplishing the objectives.

It's also easier to see past the "you" and see the actually team (and in 2142's case, your squad) with a game like 2142, where you don't have everything at your fingertips. I still don't fully embrace that way of playing - I'd love to be able to fight back against vehicles as Assault instead of run and hide - but it definitely encourages teamplay, much moreso than any Source game I've ever played.

There's a reason why I play only on TTP servers and nowhere else.
