Battlefield Poetry
Well, a friend of mine once had some "Sci-fi Haiku" and I wrote a few. Here are some BF oriented ones- If you have a similarly dorky creative bent, feel free to follow suit!
Walker tracks its prey,
Neko slides left, shields rise!
Frozen fields of death.
My gunner is blind!
AA spews fiery death,
down we go in flames.
I wait, trembling
My Pilum gives no warning-
Another crew gone.
Raise a foaming mug
We salute our former 'toons!
Your death, not in vain.
An e-death forlorn,
Was it ones or the zeros
That betrayed your fate?
Voss or Baur, who cares?
My e-bullets rip your head,
Pale white clone lies down.
What were you thinking?
Machine gun draws the tank's ire.
We fly high in death.

Re: Battlefield Poetry
Rottn,
Don't put away that quill pen! Please consider submitting those as a TTP author. PM me if you are interested.
Haikus were the first TTP article. We used them to experiment with our authoring software. We didn't know how to confidently format paragraphs, choose fonts, font sizes, none of that stuff. Bigdog ordered us editors to write articles and experiment by playing. So I thought what the heck and tried writing Haikus. Since then I have a soft spot in my heart for them.

Re: Battlefield Poetry
No target acquired
but yet I feel inspired
what over this wall lay
something I dare not say
So I dig deep in my in my bags
and ready grenade for those fags
so I count to three
send the way of the crow
but it comes back to me
now I can not go
The rock begins to boil
my score soon to be spoiled

Re: Battlefield Poetry
When I sit on my perch
overlooking the gulch
fire started, shelter made
I pull out my lunch
MMMmm marmalade
Then in the vale'
I spot a fast ride
Chopper on his tail
scoped in first time
I take the shot
and totally forgot
two clays in my pack
and none to my back
so I get a knife in the head
warnings I do not heed
and kicked from the team
I think its time for bed.

Can't enter her corridor!
Console held secure.
