Re: Hair in my Computer Screen
I'm pretty sure that most modern monitors have a thin layer of plastic that covers the actual display (to prevent damate)...My CRT does and so does my work LCD. I can see how a hair could get in the space between that protective cover and the display.
I'd look for screws on the back that look like they access that cover (if its there) and try to get it out that way.
Monitors contain a ton of power so unplug it first...and even then, its probably wise to let it rest for a few hours to let the capacitors discharge.
In the mean time, post pics or give us more details about your monitor.
If you are hesitant to mess with it, I bet a TV repair place could get it out for you without charging too much.
A hair on my screen would bug the crap out of me!

Re: Hair in my Computer Screen
I still don't know how it got there, but I got it out. I spent around an hour on it. I wiggled it to the edge of the screen, then lifted the edge of the screen a little bit and pulled it out. It's a cheap LCD, with plastic edges that lift up a coupla millimeters.
