Thread: When you are accused of lying about your gender

So I need to let off steam here before I go to bed and kick my husband all night for something someone else did. I was playing DOD with the guys when this one guys gets on [NME]9mm something and starts saying that I am lying about being a woman. HE is going off about how I must really be a 10yr old boy because woman don't talk the way I do. I ask people to vouch for me because lets face it I have a girly voice that sometimes is mistaken for a 14 yr old boy going through puberty. Then when I tell him that others have seen pictures of me and talk to me regularly he still says it is all lies. :3


I am sorry guys for leaving you in the middle of a game but I am so HOT about this. Not about mistaking me for a little boy (voice wise) but the fact that he was saying I was a liar. Then again I try my hardest not to use harsh (bad words) and that some how makes me less of a woman . Plus he wouldn't let it go.

I apologize for having an argument in game with him and leaving the way I did. The red hair in me was about to RIP that asshat a new one and I knew it was time for me to leave.

Yea just ignore them... there are a lot of people out there like that. Also next time please tell an admin because there wasnt one on your team at the time...

Well when there is 3-4 people arguing about that bs and the 1 guy trying to pull the team together to win cant talk over the argument, they are definitely hindering teamplayer

As far as I'm concerned, no apology is needed on your part. That has to be one of worst things I've ever seen concerning women and gaming . That's why I left the server too. My ex-wife played DoD as well, but most people would just find out she was a woman and say something like "that's cool" and move on....this guy just kept going. It was like you offended him or something. He's a fucking jerk... period. That's why I got so pissed...you weren't doing anything and the guy just goes off on you.

I for one think it was awesome, that you stayed as calm as you did.

That's true, but when the guy keeps popping off every five seconds it's hard to ignore. I know Pro told him to drop it a least twice, and I told him to just leave her alone and let her play numerous times. ..and he wouldn't. I don't think there's a need for admin action either, but perhaps the server rules need to be amended. Hassling someone like that because of their gender is not cool....and on top of that, the guy was supposed to be a Christian.

shrug maybe text? = spam? and that is certainly stretching it but yeah it is a pain better to just let this one roll

Look guys I am in no way asking for HELP or saying something should have been done. I just needed to VENT. I know that If I needed help (admin wise) I can ask for one.

I was just in shock. That was the first time that someone has argued with me about who I am . Asking me and moving on is one thing but what happened was different. I have learned a lesson as well, mute him or switch sides. It is hard to rattle my cage but calling me a liar about ANYTHING is not going to earn you points that's for sure.
