1. It is not like they are going to do away with ads, so they might as well be targeted.
2. it is not like they are the only company to track your habits in order to solicit to you. I am sure everyone loves the frequent shopper cards that many restaurants and stores have. Don't you think there is more information on that card that you know?

imo the ISP is wrong to do this for "better ads" I think if it were the government trying to catch a Terrorist then it'd be acceptable but you'd still have many people who get their panties in a bunch...
