I Hate Over-seas Tech Support Droids
Here's a transcript I had with a tech support droid a little while ago.
The hosting company decided to move his files to another server and completely
messed up everything.
I logged in with my friends name "steve"

Please be prepared to answer your Security Question when we begin chatting. To enhance our security protocols, we'll need you to provide the answer to your Security Question at the beginning of our conversation. If you have not yet set your Security Question and Answer, please log into your account now to set it up. Thank you.
Please hold for the next available operator to respond.
info: You are now chatting with 'Neil Griffin'
Neil Griffin: Hi Steve, My name is Neil, how are you today?
steve: hello neil
Neil Griffin: How can I help you today?
steve: today our account was moved to the new server and everything is messed up
steve: mainly the databases
steve: also if you look at the permissions on the files on the server everything is set to 755
steve: even regular html files
steve: are 755 instead of 644

Neil Griffin: To protect your account from unauthorized changes, can you please verify for me the answer to the Security Question:
Neil Griffin: What was the name of your High School?
steve: [name of my friends high school]
Neil Griffin: I'm sorry. The answer which you have provided does not matches with the existing one.
steve: look again
steve: because I just did it
steve: and I put [name of my friends high school] **note this exactly what I typed above already**
Neil Griffin: Thank you for the authentication.
Neil Griffin: I have noticed that file permission for all the files is set to 755. However, you can change the file permission by going to FileManager.
steve: yes I know I can
steve: you guys messed it up you guys fix it
steve: you people have destroyed our business with your ill planned move of the server
steve: also please respond like a human being and stop copy and pasting answers to me
steve: it says "liveperson" live chat
Neil Griffin: Can you please let us know what exactly you wish to do?
steve: not robot chat
steve: 1st of all I'd like to speak to a tech support rep who is in the united states
steve: second I'd like it to be someone that is like a human being and not a robot who can answer my question and concerns
steve: not reply with a copy and paste response
Neil Griffin: If you wish, you can contact us at our international number: [removed to protect the retarted].
steve: thank you for wasting my time
steve: you have been no help at all

Classic. I was going to buy new phones from wirefly, but their live chat guy couldn't even copy and paste answers, so I called, and the phone guy was even worse. I called AT&T, and had to pay $100 for 2 phones, as opposed to free, but well worth it because the dude was in the US, and spoke English.

This droid is treating it like I'm asking him to help me set up my outlook box or something.

The worst tech support I have ever experienced was from Qwest. And the poor confused woman on the other end of the line was definitely American.
The best tech support I have ever had: hate to say it, MS, and it was definitely an Indian.

My favorite is when you get pissed off enough at the bot that you actually take the time to pick up the phone and you get one of those stupid ass automatic machines that makes you answer a bunch of questions before you can talk to a human and if you don't get them write it tells you that they cant connect you and hangs up. So much for customer service.
