Thread: You get in a slump and cant figure out why...

Ive been in a slump for the past 2 weeks... and cant figure out why. It doesn't feel like I'm playing any differently... and I'm unable to figure out why i cant seem to get the shots to register.

Its so frustrating when your in a slump and cant figure out the reason for it. /rant /bitch /cryinthecorner

Is it the shots wont register or is it you're just not getting the kills like you did when you first came to TTP?

I've seen a bunch of TTP regulars own it up their first few weeks here and then "lose" some of their skill, when, in all actuality, it's just the rest of the community has learned how you play and they have adapted to it.

well the 2 things ive noticed is that im getting a lot more 70 in 4-6 hits with both the AK and M4... like my shots arnt doing as much dmg. But according to stats.. im not aiming any differently than i was before. Im also getting 1 shot headshot a hell of a lot. On one map today i got HS killed in the first couple bullets from one of the first players i met 14 rounds in a row. Its seeming more like bad luck than anything else.

But the other thing ive come to realize is my "drop in skill" seems to have come right on the heels of summer and the recent influx of n00bs and asshats. Ive always said ill play better and do better when the server is full of smart players than when its full of idiots.. no matter what team im on. I play expecting people to play smart... so i for some reason have problems with people who dont play smart. Dont think thats the only reason im slumping but it certainly makes me wonder.

I was talking to someone in the server today and we were talking about just that... players who dont play smart. I said.... "another TTP motto should be.... 'Play smart... or play elsewhere'."
