TTP and your game purchasing tendancies.

CivilWars owns every game hosted by TTP except ArmA. Pineapple reaches towards the same, or a smiliar, goal. Heat10 currently has a poll running in the {HRD} Private forum asking which TTP hosted game he should get next. Tylenol is polling the same question in another forum. Rooster050 and dex71 just both purchassed 2142 because it's hosted here and many fellow clanmates play it. Saltspring just recently purchassed TF2 for a similar reason. dustyCALIBER has been branching out of BF2 into 2142, DoD and TF2. Cpt.Reiskis just got 2142, and also has COD4, BF2 and TF2. rv2pc3d; BF2, 2142, COD4. ... Many many of us have multiple TTP hosted games.. just look at the profiles. You see it everywhere.

So I'm wondering now, to what extent has Texas ...Teamplayers... effected how we think about multiplayer gaming.

Are we more likely to buy a game because we know it's hosted by TTP? Will we buy an older game like CS:S instead of a newer one that doesn't show a lot of promise to be TTP hosted, because we know like-minded people reside on the TTP hosted CS:S server? Why did some of us try Frontline: Fuel of War? ...was it because there was potential for it to be hosted here, until it was found to have been botched up in the teamplayability?

The next time you pull out your wallet, ask yourselves these things. It is by no means a bad thing to think about. If anything you may find you save a little money if you look at a game and think, "You know what, this doesn't look like a game TTP will host, and if they don't host it, I probably won't enjoy it as much. Why waste the money?"

Hell yeah, TTP hosting a server was the entire reason I bought COD4.

I have an xbox360. So when my friends call me up to play some Halo. I'm there. So why would I spend the money on a computer game that I would have to play with complete retards. I play with friends only. And TTP is my new group of friends, its like a big family. It's you guys, or my boys in real life. It's that simple. :9

That's pretty much how I roll... if it's singleplayer oriented, I'll likely get it for XBox 360.. unless its a game like Rome: Total War or Oblivion... but if it's multiplayer, it better have a teamwork aspect TTP will consider hosting or I'm not gonna bother.

Aside from Command & Conquer back in '95, the games TTP hosts are the only computer games I've ever played. (BF2, CSS, TF2, COD4, DoD, soon to be 2142)So, yeah, you could say what TTP hosts has a major effect on what games I decide to buy.

I give minimal thought to buying games TTP doesn't host.

For FPS games, whether or not TTP hosts it pretty much decides if I will buy it.

I own every single fucking game TTP has. I also plan on to keep purchasing if they keep hosting.

Only game that TTP hosts that I do not have is ArmA. I bought 2142, COD:4 and TF2 because TTP hosted servers for them.

i buy games just cuz they look interesting. regardless whether ttp hosts it or not. It just happens to be a coincidence that almost every game I own, and every game I actually play happens to be TTP hosted.

Every game that I play on ttp I have had before I knew of TTP.

CSS, DODS, TF2, and BF2142

I own every game that TTP hosts including ArmA, so definitely yes. If TTP gets the game I get the game. It was even the case for AoC, a lot of members got it and said it was great so I went out and got it.
