I killed my fucking guitar....

Iam sure you guyz have seen the pic of me throwing it around my head....always do it..every show....well this time,

the strap lock screw pulled striaght out of the wood, and....yea....

My Former 1989 American Standard Fender Telecaster........

This is what it is supposd to look like.....i found this image from a fan....

I dont know what hurts worse....these photo's....or the knot on the back of my head from where the guitar hit me....

OO strap lock broke huh? Are you talking about the part inside the guitar body, or the strap-lock latch? I dropped my american deluxe p-bass due to a faulty strap lock!.....

I now have a warwick bass, i has strap locks standard. They are EXCELLENT! I dont know if you are considering a different lock but I know mine has been holding strong for years. Given I dont throw the thing, but it is also probably the heaviest bass in the market. You can purchase (or I can help you purchase, guide you to where you can) the German made strap locks from warwick.

I am sorry for your loss, looks like she was just getting broken in..

yea, it wasnt a faulty lock, it was the whole screw that goes into the wood that ripped out....i use schallars as my locks. I used the dunlop ones for a while, but i wanted the security of the actual hook lock...

yea....it sucks.

I did contact warmoth (www.warmoth.com) this morning about my options from here, waitin on a reply back.....if i cant get the fender name and serial number on a new neck....iam ganna have the whole neck customed with my initials in the inlay, and call it a Prestele (pra-stelie) since my last name is presley

Aww man, that hurts inside. I guess it's a good thing that it's a fender, and not something with a set neck, otherwise it gets a lot harder to repair. I just use thick leather straps and normal studs, no locks or anything, maybe I should get some straplocks put in...
