excel junkies?
I need an excel junkie. I consider myself to be pretty well informed when it comes to excel but I just got a file that I have a question about...
So you have normal columns and rows but then to the left of Column A there are 3 small buttons at the top. 1, 2 & 3...each button brings up different things...then below the buttons and to the left of the row numbers there are places where I can expand the data or show minimal...
I am wondering how this is done and then how I can modify it. It is not done through VB...and there are no macros...
what is this wonderful thing?
edited for horrible grammar

Re: excel junkies?
Yeah, the sort of expandable-bullet-outline thing- pretty handy. Note that the default puts the "expander" below the selection, sort of "accounting style" but you can set it to be above the selection, so the group "drops down" when you expand it. I like it better that way- seems more intuitive to me... YMMV.
(Excel junkie... I picture this strung-out looking engineer down on his luck in the gutter... "C-C-Come on, man, just one more pivot table, p-p-please! They sent my job to Bangalore, the least you can do is let me do some bar graphs for you, m-m-mister!"
