Thread: Carolina Beats Dallas

In the North American Championship Gaming Carolina beat Dallas 21-20. Dallas made a huge comeback in CS:S winning 6 in a row, but blew the last round when the score was 20-20. Now everyone is hoping for a rematch in the World Championship, since both teams get to go. So, sorry all you Texas people, but Carolina are the Champions!

I don't know exactly what you are talking about but I know if I was on the Texas team we would of won.

I would watch CGS, but the commentators are so damn annoying. Fatality is deuche bag. Still the greatest FPS player ever though.

Most marketed by far. Also I think the best or one of the best. When he played AVP2 he dominated the competition. In the short time he played Doom 3 he was great. Quake 3 Arena and Quake 4 are the same story. Also he owned at Painkiller. I forgot to even mention Unreal lol.

When I saw him do this in '02 at QC it's was enough for me to say he is the greatest FPS player so far.

I'd say when he was playing unreal, and was wasting the competition he could have been called the best fps player in the world. But come on, towards the end, he was playing AVP2, Doom3, and Painkiller. I'm sorry, but there just isn't a large enough player base in those games to warrant a "best player" title. I'd like to see him play CS, which I'd say has the largest player base and see how he fairs. In addition, I think that if he was the best fps player in the world, he'd be playing, not announcing.

Wendell dominated Unreal which was huge in it's prime. You didn't even mention Quake 3 Arena which is probably the game that requires the most skill on a competitive level. I'm not trying to convince anyone that he's the best player just my personal opinion. As for him playing I do think he played on a lower competitive level at one time. Really I don't think he wants to play right now. Wendell is racking in cash off of his line of products and also the announcer job probably doesn't pay too bad either. On an end note he never retired so he could play again in the future.

he WAS the best FPS player in his prime and still is the best at certain games.. but i would hesistate to give him that title currently. I had the privlage of both playing against him and watching him play in the Unreal series and he would do things i didnt think possible in game. Make shots and jumps that really made you stop and think. He may not of always had the best aim.. i know a UT series 1v1 player who could outshoot him.... but he was by far the smartest player with the best knowledge of the games and maps he played.
