Well, the gameplay is totally different since it's a strategy RPG, but they did take a few characters from Shadow Hearts, as well as from lesser-known games like Gungrave and Neverland and made a crossover game where they are all in the same world. I haven't played Gungrave or Neverland, but Shadow Hearts and the sequel Covenant were beast.

That is some terrible voice acting though..I couldn't watch it all. I read in a review, though, that you could switch it over to the original Japanese voice cast, and still read the subs, which would probably make it at least bearable.
