Speeding ticket

I got a damn speeding ticket today when I wasn't even speeding. I was traveling down a highway here in town that I have lived off of for the last 20 years. The thing is a speed trap, has been for years, and I DO NOT ever, ever speed down it. I don't care what time of day there is ALWAYS a cop hiding somewhere.
So I'm traveling in the 45mph zone doing 45 and about 20 yards before it turns to 50 I start to accelerate just a bit. I see a cop coming over the bridge in the opposite direction and I look down at my speedo. (I have an amazing gift for spotting cops early) I was doing 48. So here he goes, u-turn, lights and flies around the 5 cars behind me to pull me over.
He stops me and asks for my license and I ask him why he pulled me over. "Sir, you were doing 57 in a 45." "No sir, I was not. I looked at me speedo when I saw you and absolutely was not going 57 or even 50 for that matter." "Well sir, you can contest it in court if you like."
So now I have to go to court because some asshole cop can't use his radar properly. My brother is a cop and I have riden with him on patrol before. I know how normal radar works. It does not pinpoint which vehicle is speeding. It simply tells you that someone is speeding and then the cop has to figure out which vehicle it was. Now, the hand held laser radar is different. You point it at the vehicle and it tells you how fast it was going. This cop was not using laser. Fucking pissed me off. I know for a fact I was not speeding. Well, maybe a little, but definitely not 57 in a 45. I'm not that stupid considering I know those sneaky bastards patrol that area like it was a drag strip.
Anywho, just wanted to vent a bit. Now I'm going to go blow some shit up. Join me on bf2142 server now!!! I command you!

Trust me dude, I feel your pain... After the 4th of July fiasco I had, I made it point to stop of at the range the next day to cap off a few rounds... Errr, a few thousand rounds that is..

i hate cops. i got 2 speeding tickets in the last 2 weeks..

i never seem to run into them around here, course you usually see them mainly around the school zones as they are easy traps to catch people (35 at all times, yet people seem to not know that ALL TIMES means all times

) Plus its easy to tell if there a cop on one of the main roads because everyone starts doing the speed limit

Make sure you tell the judge exactly what you told us.They CANNOT pinpoint,i know that for a fact.Your honesty and if you have a clean rcord will get it dropped.keep us informed.

yeah, dude, take it to court.

ask for calibration records, and compare it to manufacterer's recc'd calibration dates.
