Things To Do in Round Rock & Austin

I'm heading down to TX (Round Rock and Austin) in a few weeks for work and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for some good restaurants (a steakhouse is mandatory) and some entertainment (bars, shooting ranges, and shit I couldnt do in the Midwest).

6th Street pretty much has you covered in terms of nightlife and restaurants. Tons of bars and clubs, good restaurants, plenty of Austin weirdos to laugh at (the last time I went, there was a guy in a robot suit with a boom box built into his back dancing around in the street). Lots of strange little shops scattered around, too, as well as tons of live music pretty much any night of the week.

Dunno about shooting ranges, but I'm sure there are plenty to pick from, especially in Round Rock.

hey man, sry I didnt see your thread until now.. I live in austin and know the area pretty well.. Ill be back in san marcos for school but PM if you wanna know anything about austin..

Plenty of good steakhouses... Ya use austin360.com its a good site..

uhh I know there is a shooting range in Pluggerville or however you spell it..

See if there is a round rock express baseball game maybe? At the Dell diamond.. Its AA I think..

Lots of cool gun shops in Austin...military surplus shops and shit. I know they just closed one in round rock tho...

If you have time go to lake travis and rent a jetski or a boat man.. That would be a fuckin blast..
