there could be private forum posts in between. he'd have to and or another high/site admin would have to count back his posts
awww but thats what it is for me

actually, if you really wanted to do this, any high admin with query access to the mysql database could run this query to find it:
    Code:
    SELECT `ID_TOPIC`,`ID_MSG` FROM `smf_messages` WHERE `ID_MEMBER` = 4 LIMIT 29999 , 1
it will return the topic and message id of the 30,000th (it's base 0) post belonging to the uid 4 (bigdog's uid).

you can then take the topic id ($A) and message id ($B) and use them by substituting them in this url:
    Code:
    http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?topic=$A.msg$B#msg$B

How long did it take you to go look up the damn field names, FUCK even i dont know them off the top of my head for a smf board... and thats SAYING something! O.o

edit: btw you totally ruined the moment. Like a couple walking in Alaska, one sees the Aurora Borials and says "that's pretty" then you respond "Auroras are produced by the collision of charged particles from Earth's magnetosphere, mostly electrons but also protons and heavier particles, with atoms and molecules of Earth's upper atmosphere " ....

it took me longer to create a few posts to test with, then to actually get that info. it was one of those days at work, so i decided to digress for a bit

i started looking when i saw this post at 1:08pm, and posted when i knew the needed info at 1:57pm. downloading took a few seconds, and installing took like 5 minutes. took about 10-15 minutes to make some test posts (i wanted two different userIDs, and had some problems with smf being pissy about duplicate email addresses). about 10 minutes to see how the database stored it all, and what field names it used. the rest was editing the post, with formatting and quotes and shit.
