    Mooninite,

You'll never understand songs until you write one. Any less is like watching The Military Channel and then thinking that you are a soldier.

We can't blow wisdom up your ass.

Start with writing poetry. You will see the light in due time.

    Peace

Almost every Tool song has a meaning that's not necessarily obvious by listening to the lyrics..

    I stress the "almost".

I think I can understand something without doing it. That's like say you can't understand a book until you've wrote one. How is anyone here "blowing wisdom up my ass" when I ask for recommendations for songs?

    Hi Ladies/Gentlemen,

I have read your posts with interest....I too enjoy a good tune. I started my life listening to the mellow notes of metric barnyard acid. Following a blues rendezvous some were in Peckham I determined Yong phat jazz was the way forward.

This is a good example of mellow trumpet jazz....with a slight undertone of tunefull burgundy.

Hidden meanings are abound!. Sometimes I cry myself to sleep at such sorrowful notes...At other times I kick the cat in a skiffle blues frenzy.

Boogie master rock classics seem to get me in a cheese making frenzy...I had to give that up when I nearly overdosed at an illegal all night Crackerbarrel rave.
Another fine example of banjo cheese orgy.

Be careful of tuneful melodies. All night raves can end in Christianity!.

If you want the best song it is "So Far Away" by Stained. It is rock. You will listen to this over and over and over again.
