I like the idea, but it would be much to bulky for me. It's not all 'tacticool' though. I like the idea of an adjustable cheek rest on that particular stock. Not my style though..

Nope I scoped it. It has a variable 9-12 power scope and I use my own handloads. Greatest gun I paid under $200 dollars for.

Mosin Nagants are notoriously sturdy and are very accurate if you know the years/types to look for. The Finnish ones are super accurate and cost accordingly ($250+ range) but you can get a pre war (WW2) model that is in decent shape if you look around for under $100. The scope, rails and amount of work is what costs as it will be packed in cosmoline, dirty, painted and nasty.

My camera is on the fritz or I would show pics. Mine looks like the one below but without the synthetic stock.

I want to order a stock for mine like the one for the TKIV 85 Finnish rifle below. The TKIV uses original Mosin Nagant receivers, but fires a new round through a new barrel. The Finns still used them as marksman rifles till the late 80s early 90s.

This is why I was a sad panda when they took the Mosin out of PR and replaced it with that Enfield.

But yes Hawg, you can get good groups out of old guns. Just requires work and practice... and a woman to rub sore shoulders after a long day of shooting that powerful round.
