Gas Shortage

Who else is it affecting? I tried 5 stations today and all were BONE dry..

OMFG when is this suppose to end?

I predict that we will see the Army National Guard on our streets as soon as next month. The future is grim. With the new warnings of a Terrorist Attack, anyone is suspect to the injustices to come. Everything has a reason and gas shortages across the country are not due to a CAT2 hurricane that hit Texas. They may tell us it is, but they also mean to tell me that I am naive, gullible American Citizen.

hasn't quite hit us that bad yet...prices are steady between $3.86-4.29, not at $4.89 again...BUT our gas comes out of Atlanta so...since the ATL is running dry, we may also.

Its not that gas is expensive here, its that its COMPLETELY out, all the pumps have bags over them and the streets are backedup with endless lines to get the dry pumps,

So far Los Angeles hasn't seen any supply problems. Infact I have seen gas prices drop from 4$ to 3.70 for regular.

If gas stops flowing in LA I am sure there will be some sort of panic. Going to have to put a lock on my tank.

The supply problem is related to, I think, two refineries who were affected by Ike. Once power and access to those refineries is restored, the gas will start flowing again.

There is no supply problem, just an access problem.

A co-worker of mine drove back here from Atlanta yesterday and it took her 4 hours to find gas and fill up before she left town.

Crazy!

It will end soon enough though, despite Rooster's paranoia.
