Vp Debate!
Post what you thought of it!
What did you guys think of it?
I just fineshed watching it, I don't think that I could see a clear winner out of the two of them. They both spoke very well, Palin didn't screw up like so many thought she would, and Biden didn't go off on one of his famous rants.
Good debate, but kind of boring. I was expecting something more interesting to happen.

Palin wiped the floor with Biden! It was spectacular. :10My goal is to succeed in any mission - and live to succeed again.
God grant that I may not be found wanting, that I will not fail this sacred trust.

Re: Vp Debate!
I watched the first 1/2 of it. Recorded the rest.
From what I saw, Gov Palin did great. She is always a little shaky in her delivery as opposed to Sen Biden, but he has decades of experience in delivery. Greasy is the word that comes to mind when I watch him speak. I heard a lot of predictions that Gov Palin would get slammed, and those predictions were flat out wrong.
The gotcha "You voted against such and such 96 times" and its counter arguments are the trash that Michael Moore and his ilk are made of. Snippets of fact with no context. The quotes out of context are also bullshit. I quickly tuned it out.
The biggest sneak preview into the mindset of the Democrats for me came when Biden said that (regarding the govt mortgage bailout) the govt would have home owners be able to not only negotiate the interest rate of their mortgage, but the PRINCIPAL as well.......
I told my wife that it would be great if the govt would help me reduce the principal amount I owe on my house, but was quickly reminded that because we planned and decided to buy a house at about 1/2 what we qualified to borrow, we probably wouldn't qualify for this program they promise. We are too 'Fortunate' to qualify.
Good behavior gets punished. Bad behavior gets rewarded. Any other conclusion is based on coke vs pepsi, cowboys vs redskins, partisan side taking.

Palin pwned Biden. Did you see the live vote of the undecided votes that was aired immediately after the debate? 5 switched to Palin and 1 went to Obama. I predict a big bounce tomorrow for McCain. If he is smart he will put her in TV pushing him in campaign ads.

Re: Vp Debate!
Once again I was at work for the debate, but I did catch about 5 minutes of it on one of our TV's in the restaurant. I also caught some news about it after it was over, and it seems that Palin did an exceptional job. I heard that the debate was a close one with Palin just edging out Biden. Wish I Could have watched it in its entirety.

Re: Vp Debate!
Nobody pwned nobody. To say otherwise makes you look like a fool.
That being said, I think Palin became much more coherent in her nonsense. Hats off to the team that prepped her for the debate.
Biden, although he looks like a corpse, just sounds more rooted in facts and sounds like someone I would want at the wheel.
Case in point, at the end of the debate palin thanked the moderator then went on to say how she was grateful to have this chance to express her views despite the 'mainstream media' just making her look bad. See that's just more of the same from the Bush regime. When you screw up, don't admit to it just throw a smoke grenade. Really classless move on her part.
