Grunge was a fad, just like that boyband shit a few years back. Got really popular, and those that were good enough were the ones that survived. I think that Green Day had a huge impact on stirring up the grunge crowd. A few years after Dookie came out, everyone took a turn to Punk.
You guys should check out:
Ill Nino
Dark New Day
Dry Kill Logic
Fear Factory
And for the Megadeth droogies such as myself... Gigantour 2006 is coming. Get drunk and thrash to the greatest metal band in history... Megadeth.

RE: grunge muse
Alice and Chains can't tour since Layne Staley is dead..... Theyr'e nothing without him. ALthoguh Jerry Cantrell is a helluva guitarist, most of his solo stuff sucked shit....
I used to love grunge but the same 3 chords get old fast. Metallica was great up until the black album, now they're fags.
Megadeath was only good for Rust in Peace and that Symphony of Destruction album...
Pink Floyd blows them all away.... Nothing better than classic rock, old school punk, real rap (80's like run dmc), etc...
All the new shit that's not coming out of small town usa and the uk, the indie stuff, pretty much is all gay pop and emo..lol
But that's just my opinion.....
